WALK DAY!

It was a cold and raining late-April morning; we cheered, chanted, sang...oh, and we walked, too!

Thanks to everyone who contributed to Buttons and Beaus. Our team has raised over $13,000 for the work of the MS Society! Way to go people! Thanks to the moustache, I have raised just over $700 (and counting!)

A big thanks to Brian Ellis and Canukusa Services Ltd. for a generous donation to this cause that is very dear to my heart.
Enjoy the pictures from the big day!

From the Dunkerleys

We are just days away from the MS Walk! Much thanks to Dave and Lesley Dunkerley for sponsoring my moustache for a few days! Here I am sporting the Buttons and Beaus team shirt. Much more pictures to come from the MS Walk with a whole host of us sporting tie-die shirts! Groovy!

Thanks Bert!

Thanks to Bert Hopkins for sponsoring today's moustache. Bert got to see me in person this morning along with the rest of the Wednesday morning St. George's Communion crew.

Check out some very impressive moustaches (and beards) at the following links:
By the way...the guy pictured above is not me...oh, how I wish it were me though...

Oh, Caroline! You gave me a moustache!

So here I am, practising my singing, the camera catching my angelic glow.

Or something like that...

Much thanks to my friend and once-upon-a-time co-worker Caroline Yung for supporting the work of the MS Society.

Thanks to Dorothy Gamouras for bringing the world one more day of William with a moustache!

Here is a shot of me by my whiteboard at work. (I erased all those pesky econometric formulas...)

This afternoon, I am off to film a segment with Beth and Tessa that will air on CTV News.

Bad Boy Bill on a Friday

Thanks to John Verbaas for bringing two more days of handlebar moustache fun.

My friend Ben suggested that I look like one of the guys from the country music (super) group Alabama. What do you think?

Ask me about my moustache

Happy Thursday!

I decided to wear a tie to work today; I think every little bit of additional professionalism I can muster is necessary for the next few weeks!

I am off to a reception at the Senate tonight for Mount Allison University alumni.

Speaking of MTA, I am going to my 5-year class reunion in mid-May. With several more donations, I could be going back to my class reunion wearing my moustache.

Stay tuned for tomorrow's moustache, brought to you by a new sponsor!

Second day of work with a moustache

Thanks to Stacey Van Buskirk for sending me off to my second day of work sporting a moustache! Stacey is sponsoring my upper lip for the next few days...much appreciated!

My co-workers responded in one of several different ways to my moustache:
a) some thought I looked pretty good;
b) some seemed not to notice;
c) others smiled and chuckled when they first saw me.

After a few days of racking our brains, Beth and I figured out who I look like:

The Moustache Meets Mike Fisher

William and his moustache went grocery shopping today at their friendly neighbourhood Loblaw's. While he was on his way to pick up some ice cream, he ran into Ottawa Senator, Mike Fisher, drinking a Coke. Mike was very impressed with William's moustache, and agreed to pose for this photo opportunity.

Don't forget, for only $20 you can keep this moustache on William for one more day!

The Moustache Goes Out For Lunch

After church today, William went out for breakfast with his moustache. They engaged in a moustache filled conversation with the men at the table next to them. Seriously. They did. Moustache envy is rampid in this world.

The Moustache Makes Friends

After the Ballet, William and his moustache decided that they needed a drink. Luckily, they ran into other people with moustaches. William did not feel alone.

The Moustache Goes To The Ballet

William pretends to be a classy man. Sometimes he succeeds, sometimes he ends up wearing a moustache for an undetermined amount of time. To start the moustache adventure, William and Beth decided to go to the National Arts Centre and watch the Ballet. The Ballet was less than enjoyable for William, but the moustache had a great time.

Today's Moustache

We're sorry for the slowness of our posts, this moustache-filled weekend has been busy, but we will get the pictures of Bill and his moustache up and running as soon as we can.

Remember, the more donations, the more moustache!

Everyone Preparing For The Moustache

Carol, Beth and Bill prepare for Bill's Moustache Shaving by wearing one of their own.
Fingers are red in the picture because of insane amounts of t-shirt dying for wicked team t-shirts. Stay tuned for more pictures.

Great Men with Moustaches no. 3

Wendel Clark
"Captain Crunch"

In recongnition of the Maples Leafs' hard-fought win over the Canadiens tonight, we at Buttons and Beaus show our "props" to a man who bled blue-and-white and wore his Maple Leaf-shaped heart on his sleeve throughout his career. Wendel Clark was for many years the heart-and-soul of the Maple Leafs. Clark always came through for the Leafs: whether it was a hit, a fight or a goal, "Wendy" was the heart and soul of our beloved Leafs.

In addition to being an all-around solid hockey player, Wendel always sported great facial hair. Especially noteworthy was Wendel's handlebar moustache from the early 1990s. As a young teenager, I (William) was impressed to say the least.

I continue to aspire to emulate Clark's play on the ice, and his facial grooming.

Don't forget to donate to keep William "Wendy 2.0" MacMinn in a stache!

Great Men with Moustaches No. 2

Ben Stiller
Hey you! Donate to keep Willy looking cool and svelte. Think of how awesome and totally rad he will look sporting a fantastic moustache not unlike Ben Stiller's from the movie Dodgeball.
According to Morristache.com Stiller's character is "Unequivocally the greatest villain ever portrayed in a movie about dodgeball."
